The Tao of the Wu
The Rza, also known as the Abbot, Bobby Digital, the Rzarector, is not just a music producer, lyricists and actor, he is also an author. The Tao of the Wu is the second edition to the 2 part book written by the Rza, the first being the Wu Manual. The Tao of the Wu is a book that has changed my point of view on many different topics. It has taken my life in a completely different direction, to where it was suppose to be, or never meant to be. It is written in a very easy way to understand and is a fast read. It has given me so much knowledge about the Wu-Tang Clan and given me a level of respect for everyone of its members that will never change. The Wu-tang Clan is not only one of the most influential Hip-Hop crews in the world, but also one of the only groups were the 8 members have all released their own solo albums, with 5 of them going platinum. The beatles and ABBA never reached this level of genius. RZA is a man with such high levels of wisdom, not all of it i agree with, but my respect for his music and career is undeniable. This book is a must read for anyone who listened to the Wu-tang as a young man. I now am a Kung-Fu movie buff, knowing where every sample from the 36 chambers was taken from. These Kung-fu movies, are not just entertainment, but they contain wisdom not matched by other movies. Thanks to the Rza and the Tao of the Wu (inspired without a doubt, by Bruce Lee's The Tao of Jeet Kune Do, which is also amazing) i now have a different perspective on many things in my life.
PEACE

:: Yeasayer in MTL ::
Last night I went to the Yeasayer show at the National on St-Catherine st.
The show was pretty awesome. The stage was set up with a bunch of colourful light boxes that lit up the stage. They had really good stage presence and came back for a 2 song encore at the end of the show.
They have a new album that came out in February of this year called Odd Blood which is definitively worth a listen.
If they come to your town, go check'em out, its worth it.
Sorry for the bad quality phone picture, I brought my 35mm camera to the show and will post the pics...if the come out!
